51 students of Kubir received Deans Award

In recognition of the merit, for the first time, 51 students have been awarded Dean’s Honor Award at Comilla University (CUB). The award was given on Sunday (January 2) at 3 pm in the virtual classroom of the university’s administrative building.

Award sub-committee convener and Professor of Management Education. Sheikh Makchedur Rahman presided over the meeting and the member secretary and associate professor of marketing. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Mohammad Solaiman was present as the virtual chief guest in the ceremony. Emran Kabir Chowdhury.

Vice-Chancellor of the University was a special guest. Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Treasurer Professor. Md. Asaduzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Moh. Aminul Islam Akand and Registrar (additional responsibilities) Professor. Md. Abu Taher.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said the Dean’s Award would take the students forward. This achievement will encourage students to achieve something new. This will be a milestone for those who are receiving this award.

Speaking as the special guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that if this award could be given at the end of education life, students would get many opportunities in their working life. Students would be more motivated to do this program every year.

The treasurer of the university said that those who have been selected for this award are the light of the university. This light should be spread all over the country. We know that there is a huge history behind every award.

Also present at the time – President of the Teachers Association and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Md. Shamimul Islam, student counselor and director of the office. Habibur Rahman, Dean of different faculties, Heads of Departments and Deans of Residential Halls and teachers and students of different departments.

A total of 18 students from eight academic years from the undergraduate level received the award at the event They are Humaira Dil Afroz and Farhana Yasmin of Mathematics Department, Ummul Khair Sumi and Sonia Akhtar of Statistics Department, Miss Nayan Tara and Swarna Majumder of Economics Department, Sangeeta Basak of Management Department and Md. Rafiqul Islam Shakila Ferdous, Arupa Sarkar and Rabia Zaman of Accounting Department, Nasreen Akhter Jhumur and Tanzina Yasmin of Marketing Department, Ripa Akhter of Finance and Banking Department, Nayan Banik of CSE Department, Amena Begum of ICT Department, Md. Kamrul Hasan and Pintu Chandra Pal.

A total of 33 students have received it from six postgraduate academic years. They are: Samia Taher, Khadija Begum, Parveen Akhtar, Humaira Dil Afroz and Mahinur Akhter of Mathematics Department, Sanjida Haque and Antra Tazreen Trina of Physics Department, Kankon Acharya of Statistics Department, Sharmin Akhtar Rupa and Md. Of Chemistry Department. Alauddin Hossain, said the Department of Economics. Masud Rana, Md. Saiful Islam, Swarna Majumder and Sayeda Suraiya Sultana, Israt Jahan Lipa of the Department of Anthropology, Md. Of the Department of Management Education. Zahid Hasan, Sangeeta Basak, Md. Rafiqul Islam and Shakila Ferdous, Fahmida Hossain, Trina Saha, Fahimul Quader Siddiqui and Md. Kauser Khan, said the marketing department. Awlad Hossain, Nasrin Akhter Jhumur, Khaleda Akhter, Zahidul Islam Patwari and Tanzina Yasmin. Meshkat Jahan and Tapsi Goswami of CSE Department, and Amena Begum, Nabila Mehzabin and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan of ICT Department.

Incidentally, the Dean’s Award was announced on the occasion of the first convocation of the University-2020. A total of 51 students from undergraduate degree 2007-08 to 2013-14 academic year and postgraduate degree from 2010-11 to 2015-16 academic year have been nominated for Dean’s Award. Students were given crests and certificates as honors.
