Bangladesh is on the verge of losing seven wickets

After falling in the follow-on and batting for the second time, Bangladesh also fell into batting disaster. After losing five batsmen, Bangladesh’s last two batsmen Liton Das and Nurul Hasan were fighting. However, after the departure of Nurul and Mehdi, now Bangladesh is on the verge of defeat. However, Liton Das is advancing towards the century by keeping one end closed. As of the writing of this report, Bangladesh’s collection is 244 runs for 8 wickets, 151 runs behind.

Meanwhile, after losing openers Sadman and Nazmul at the start of the third day, Tiger captains Mominul Haque and Mohammad Naeem were playing. However, they could not stay at the crease for long. Yasir, who hit fifty in the first innings, also returned with just two runs.

After falling behind by 395 runs, where the main goal was to repair the innings, the visitors managed to score 74 runs for the loss of 2 wickets till the lunch break of the third day.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 128 at the end of the second day at Hagley Oval. Bangladesh were trailing by 395 runs from New Zealand’s first innings. The openers could not bring relief in the second innings by going down the follow-on. However, Sadman Islam and Naeem were able to disappoint the Kiwis after an hour of resistance.

But when the team score was 28, Sadman brought danger. In the 14th over, Kyle Jamieson could have given up the ball outside the leg stump. But playing lazily, he became one of Tom Blundell’s great catches.

After lying on the crease for about an hour, the left-handed batsman returned to the dressing room with 21 runs off 46 balls. He had 3 fours in his 21-run innings. Sadman, who failed in the first innings, managed to score only 6 runs. But Neil Wagner’s short delivery did not save Shantar. He scored 29 runs off 36 balls.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh fell in the follow-on for the second time in the last 3 Tests. They last lost the second Test of the series by an innings against Pakistan.
