BNP will come to the polls with water turbidity: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has termed the BNP’s announcement not to formally join the President’s dialogue as bad news for democracy. He said that BNP will not officially come to the dialogue of His Excellency the President, it is bad news for the democracy of the country. However, like a donkey drinking water by muddy water, BNPO will come to the polls by muddy water.

He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at the beginning of a meeting with party leaders on the Narayanganj city corporation election at the Awami League president’s political office on Thursday (December 30th).

Commenting that the BNP will come to the polls to question the election, the Awami League general secretary said, “The purpose of their hope in the election is to question the election.” Because they know that the BNP will not be able to win the people’s vote for the development of the present government under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Their purpose is to question the election, that is their agenda.

Obaidul Quader said that many political parties have proposed in the dialogue to legislate for the formation of Election Commission. Asked if it is possible to legislate in this regard, Obaidul Quader said, “It would have been enacted this time, it was not possible due to epidemic. This time there is no time at all. The situation was not conducive to legislation at this time. The formation of ‘search committee’, which is happening this time as well as last time, is not outside the law, not outside the rules, not outside the constitution.

Meanwhile, Awami League nominee Selina Hayat Ivy will win the Narayanganj City Corporation election, said Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the party.

He said, “We have won the last two elections in Narayanganj. We are working for the victory again. We are working for the victory.” The scale of public opinion support is heavy on our candidate. We are working in unison. If the team, the team’s decision must be obeyed. If something small happens to them, it will be resolved.

Awami League presidium members Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Abdur Rahman, Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Mirza Azam, Education and Human Secretary Samsunnahar Champa, Agriculture and Cooperatives Secretary Faridunnahar Laili, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Central leaders including Suchit Roy Nandi, Secretary for Science and Technology, Abdus Sabur, Office Secretary Biplob Barua, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan, Central Member Abdul Awal Shamim were present on the occasion.
