Corona is not growing by leaps and bounds in West Bengal

In West Bengal, India, the number of daily cases of coronavirus infected on Wednesday (December 29) exceeded one thousand. On Thursday (December 30), it surpassed the 2,000 mark.

Kolkata tops the district-wise list in terms of the number of daily attacks. It is followed by North 24 Parganas. The number of daily attacks on Wednesday was close to 150 in the northern parganas.

On Thursday, it increased to 300. The number of newly infected people also jumped in Howrah, Hooghly and South 24 Parganas adjacent to Kolkata. Beyond the boundaries of 100, Howrah and South 24 Parganas witnessed daily attacks of 156 and 106, respectively. In Hughli, 91 people have been newly infected. In West Burdwan, where 47 people were infected on Wednesday, the number has risen to 121 in the last 24 hours. Maldaha in North Bengal, Dinajpur in South and Darjeeling have also seen a sharp rise in new cases.

Concerns about Omicrum are also growing in the state. The number of Omicron victims in the state reached 11 on Wednesday. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

In the last 24 hours, 12 people have died in Kovid in the state. Of these, four died in Calcutta. Two patients each died in Hooghly and North 24 Parganas. So far 19,858 people have died in Kovid in the state. On Thursday, 1,006 people became infected in the state.

In the last 24 hours, the number of active patients in Bengal has increased from 6,626 to 6,006 in one go. The number of active patients in Kolkata also increased to 3,595. The number of active patients has also increased in North 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly and West Burdwan.
