Don’t cheat people by selling flats: Commerce Minister

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said, do not deceive people. People buy a flat with all the savings of life to find a little place to hang their heads. When deceived, there is nothing left. Developers need to play a responsible role in protecting the interests of buyers. Those who live in the big cities of the country, including Dhaka, all expect a home of their own. The government is providing all necessary assistance to the housing sector institutions.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the five-day REHAB Fair-2021 organized by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) at the Hall of Fame of Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka on Thursday (December 23).

At the same time, he said, the country’s housing sector has come a long way. Along with the development of the country, the housing sector has also improved. This industrial sector is growing day by day. Huge population is working in this sector. The government is working sincerely to build big cities including Dhaka in a planned manner. Therefore, the cooperation of real estate traders is also required.

The Commerce Minister further said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working day and night to build the golden Bengal of the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu spent the best times of his life in jail for the liberation of Bengali nation. Bangabandhu has struggled all his life with two objectives in mind. Independence of a country, and economic liberation of a Bengali nation. He has given us freedom. Today, his daughter is working for the economic liberation of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is moving fast under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Tipu Munshi said that Pakistan, which had looted all our possessions, was now almost 50 percent behind Bangladesh. Today Bangladesh has stood on its own feet. Prime Minister’s announcement: In 2041, Bangladesh will be a developed country in the world. That is why we all have to play a responsible role from our respective positions.
