A mobile court of the environment department has fined four brick kiln owners in Chuadanga Tk 7.5 lakh for burning soil and wood. The operation of this mobile court was conducted in the brick kiln for violating the Preparation of Bricks and Establishment of Kiln (Control) Act-2013. ]
The operation was conducted at four separate places in Chuadanga Sadar and Damurhuda upazilas from morning till noon on Thursday (January 26).
A mobile court operation was conducted at four brick kilns in Chuadanga under the leadership of Dhaka Executive Magistrate Sayeda Parveen of the Environment Department. During the operation, the owners of MAS Brix, Apex Brix, Raisa Brix and MM&B Brix were fined for illegally burning wood and soil. Four brick kiln owners have been fined Tk 6.5 lakh. The brick kiln owners immediately paid the fine.
Among them, MAS Bricks of Sumirdia village of Chuadanga Sadar Upazila was fined Tk 3 lakh for violating the provisions of Brick Making and Kiln Installation Act-2013 (Amendment). Apex Bricks of Hasan Imam Bakul in Bujrukgarh area of Chuadanga Sadar Upazila was fined Tk 2 lakh for burning wood.
Besides, Raisa Brix of Abdul Malek of Karpasdanga village in Damurhuda upazila was fined Tk 1 lakh for burning soil. Abdul Mannan of Karpasdanga village in Damurhuda upazila was also fined Tk 2.5 lakh by AMNB BRICS for burning wood.
Deputy Director of Chuadanga Environment Department Mohammad Ataur Rahman and Executive Magistrate of Chuadanga District Administration Md. Were also present in the mobile court during the operation. Zakir Hossain and a group of policemen from Chuadanga police line.
