In the end, Yang-Conway pair broke up, the two teams at tea break and Muminul returned to Conway.

Young and Conway’s 138-run partnership finally broke. Young was run out in Miraj’s over. Young made 52 runs before being dismissed. Ross Taylor started batting. Now the two teams have gone for a tea break. Before going to the tea break, New Zealand’s collection stood at 146 runs for 2 wickets.

Earlier, Tiger captain Mominul decided to bowl after winning the toss against New Zealand at Mount Manganui. Bangladesh XI has been arranged with seven batsmen, three pacers and a single spinner.

Bangladesh fast bowlers started bowling well in the first session of the first Test. Bangladesh’s three fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam and Ibadat Hossain did not allow the Kiwis to play their own game. The line and length were great even though the three pacers had no speed. Fast bowler Shariful Islam picked up the Kiwi captain in the fourth over of the first session. Then came down to number three and took the helm of the team with Devon Conway and Will Young.

After that, the bowlers of Bangladesh could not hold that edge of bowling. No bowler was seen taking any more wickets in the first session. At the end of the first session, the Kiwis lost 1 wicket before lunch and collected 6 runs. The Kiwis went to the lunch break with Cornway 37 and Young 28 runs. The only success for the visitors came in the hands of Shariful.

After the lunch break, no bowler was able to bowl like in the first hour of the first session. The two top-order batsmen were playing in such a way that they could spend the whole day. As a result, Young and Conway made a pair of 100 runs in the second wicket. However, after a hundred runs, the pair did not last long. Lucky run-out broke the pair of 137 runs, right-handed opener Young returned to the dressing room after driving fifty.

Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque came to bowl himself as he did not get the success of a regular bowler. Despite bowling part-time in the Tests, Kiwi picked up a century in his third over against New Zealand. The hosts lost the wicket 5 balls before taking the new ball. At the time of writing, New Zealand had scored 233 runs for 4 wickets.

Conway, meanwhile, picked up his second Test century after scoring a century with Bangladesh. The first century came in his debut match against England. Conway’s century against Bangladesh came in 14 fours and one six. Conway made his Test debut against England in 2021 at the age of 29. Conway has two centuries and two fifties in three Tests so far.
