BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is returning to her Firoza residence in Gulshan after a 71-day stay in hospital. The party’s vice chairman Zainul Abedin said he was being taken home considering the deteriorating situation in the country.
On Tuesday (February 1) at around 6:30 pm, he left the hospital by car and left for home.
Meanwhile, doctors briefed Begum Zia about her latest condition in the evening.

On April 11 last year, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was attacked by Corona. He was admitted to Ever Care Hospital in the capital on April 28 after his breathing difficulties increased. The BNP leader returned home on June 19 after 52 days of treatment in the first phase.
He was undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of the medical board. But on October 12, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital again in the second phase due to fever. At this time his biopsy was examined. Seeing that report, the treatment continued on the advice of local and foreign doctors. The BNP leader was in hospital for 28 days at this stage.
A month after returning home, on November 13, he was again admitted to the capital’s Evercare Hospital for the third time. This time he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Doctors advised to take him abroad. The government did not give permission as there was no legal opportunity. Begum Zia has been in Ever Care for 81 consecutive days since then.
In the meantime, Begum Zia’s turquoise house in Gulshan has been washed and cleaned.
