Latham completed the century

New Zealand’s Tom Latham completed his century in the second session of the second Test against Bangladesh. He hit 17 fours off 133 balls to score a century. However, with six runs away from the century, Tiger pacer Shariful Kiwi got a chance to pick up the captain.

Latham could not play Shariful’s bouncer properly. That’s why the ball hits the bat and goes up a lot. Bangladeshi fielders ran but could not reach him. New Zealand now 18 runs for one wicket. At the other end, Devon Conway is batting with 12 runs.

Shariful was the first to hit the Kiwi camp. He turned Kiwi opener Will Young into a victim. Young was out for 54 runs. He had 5 fours in 114 balls in his innings.

Earlier, Bangladesh fast bowlers could not take advantage of Hagley Oval’s green wicket. The Kiwi camp scored about 150 runs without a wicket against the Tigers. New Zealand scored 146 runs before losing the first wicket.

Despite getting one wicket, Bangladesh bowlers did not have any scary spell in the first session. With the exception of a few overs of Ebadat, the hero of the first Test victory, he was quite expensive. Before the lunch break, Taskin scored 33 runs in 10 overs, Shariful scored 26 runs in 9 overs and Ebadat Hossain scored 32 runs in 8 overs.
However, Ebadat brought success to the Tigers with the ball in hand. He lbw Tom Latham in the second ball of the ninth over. But the Kiwi captain survived the review. Ebadat hit again in the fifth ball of the same over. I will kill his victim again. The Kiwi captain was saved in the review again.

The Kiwi captain became aggressive as soon as he got his life. Playing in ODI mood, he completed his half century with only 75 balls. Will Young, on the other hand, is watching and playing. Latham made 6 off 63 balls till the lunch break.
Tiger captain Mominul Haque won the toss and elected to bat first on Sunday (January 9). There have been two changes in the Bangladesh team since the first Test XI. On the other hand, the Kiwis took to the field with a change.
