South Korean company tries to cheat Rasik in a fancy way

A South Korean company has been accused of attempting to commit fraud with the Rajshahi City Corporation (Rasik). Rasik Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said the company was trying to swindle around Tk 6 crore.

Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton gave details of the fraud attempt at a press conference at Rasik’s Annex Plaza on Wednesday (February 18) at noon. He said that Shinshin Global Co. Ltd was trying to commit this fraud in the name of executing contract by making nine fake documents in the name of buying eight fire fighting trucks. They also demanded compensation of two and a half crore rupees (three lakh US dollars) for failing to seize the money.

In a written statement, Lytton said, “The ring manipulated my passport fraud, using fake e-mail IDs and mobile numbers, and using fake names, surnames and signatures of city corporation officials to buy nine fake firefighting trucks from Korean Shinshin Global Company.” Has performed. ‘
The mayor said B Shinshin, the owner of the company, had repeatedly contacted the Bangladesh embassy in Seoul, South Korea, and made false allegations. Rajshahi City Corporation is a local government organization in Bangladesh. The City Corporation’s functions do not include fire fighting services. There is no question of purchasing fire fighting trucks in the city corporation. Apart from this, there is no opportunity to purchase such a large number of vehicles from any supplier through government funds without direct notification.

Lytton added that documents and e-mails sent to City Corporation’s engineering adviser Ashraful Haque showed that a fake e-mail address had been used in all communications regarding the purchase of the fighting truck. The pad used by Rajshahi City Corporation in B. Shin Shin’s document is not from the corporation. No executive magistrate has ever worked in a city corporation under the name of the executive magistrate shown.

Rasik Meyer said, “Apart from this, time zone is seen in e-mail (GMT + 1), which is not the time zone of Bangladesh (GMT + 6) or South Korea (GMT + 9). Rather GMT + 1 time zone of some countries including Nigeria. The e-mail address and mobile number given in the document are not mine. Attached as documents are two fake passport pages. My name, passport number, emergency contact and other information provided there are incorrect. The photo in the passport is not passport size. My picture was collected from a poster or Facebook and affixed to my passport. ‘

Speaking at the press conference, Mayor Khairuzzaman Liton said: The use of signatures has become clear.

A GD has already been lodged with Boalia Model Police Station in this regard, said Rasik Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton. He said a letter had been sent by the city corporation to the Bangladesh embassy in Seoul, South Korea, referring to the actual incident.
