Sujan-Fahim is a rival in the election

A few days ago, they faced each other in the election of the board of directors of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). But this time they will be seen in the role of companion. Speaking of BCB team director Khaled Mahmood Sujan and cricket analyst and coach Nazmul Abedin Fahim.

If all goes well in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Sujan and Fahim will work together for the same team. It is learned that they will be seen in Barisal Fortune franchise.

Sujan was in charge of coaching Dhaka in the previous events. This time he is changing the team. The news itself is confirming the media. Fahim will also be seen in the coaching panel with Sujan.

Barisal is going to put shelves in this year’s event. Tiger all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will play for Barisal Fortune on their Facebook page.

Caribbean batting monster Andre Russell is also staying with icon Shakib. Also present are Afghan mystery spinner Mujib Ur Rahman and Sri Lankan wonder Wanindu Hasaranga. Besides, the name of English cricketer Sam Billings is also being heard.

Meanwhile, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon has said that although the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is scheduled to start on January 20, the timing of the tournament may be delayed. The board president made the remarks after an emergency meeting on a visit to New Zealand on Saturday (December 16th).

A total of six teams are expected to take part in the BPL this time. Though the next BPL is to be held with 6 teams, 6 franchises have been selected as per the pre-plan of BCB. Last year’s champion Rajshahi and former champion Rangpur will not be in the upcoming BPL. Next year’s BPL competition will be with Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Barisal, Comilla and Khulna.

Among the old teams, Comilla Victorians and Chittagong Challengers are in BPL this time. Meanwhile, three very well known and established franchises Beximco, Bashundhara and Jamcon Group are not in BPL this time. They have not expressed interest in becoming a franchise this time.

This time the game is supposed to be played in 3 venues but the venues may be reduced to two, the teams may also be reduced. The whole issue is under discussion. Papon said, everything will be finalized on December 21.
