The Prime Minister directed to elevate the roads in Haoranchal

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed to elevate the roads in Haoranchal. He made the remarks in his inaugural address at the Deputy Commissioners’ (DC) Conference on Tuesday (January 18).

If you want to make any road in Haoranchal from now on, you have to elevate it. The Prime Minister said that the roads should be constructed in an elevated manner to protect the biodiversity of the area. If the car will run over, then there is no need to build a separate bridge, all the work will be done at one cost.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined a video conference from Ganobhaban at the inaugural ceremony of the three-day DC conference at around 10 am. After the official inauguration of the conference, the Prime Minister addressed the DCs.

The Prime Minister further said that not a single person will remain poor in this country. The father of the nation has gone through our independent country. We are leading that country towards prosperity. The father of the nation dreamed that no one in this country would beg. We are working to realize that dream. The field administration has to play a role in these matters.

The Prime Minister said the facilities for government employees have been increased after the Awami League came to power. Their responsibilities have also increased.

There will be 6 sessions on the first day, 7 on the second day and 10 on the third day. Corona infection is on the rise, said the President. The DC sessions with Abdul Hamid, National Assembly Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury and Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui will also be virtual.

The conference was held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital this time due to Corona.

The conference is taking place two years later due to the coronavirus epidemic. This time the DC conference will end on January 20.

Incidentally, the government is going to build an 11 km long elevated expressway or flyover at Haor in Sunamganj. In November last year, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved a project worth about three and a half thousand crore rupees.

In the same project, roads suitable for all seasons or submersible (submerged) roads will also be constructed in the area.

The project aims to develop flyovers and physical infrastructure in the haor area. The project will be implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). To facilitate the overall communication system in the haor area through development of infrastructure, increase agricultural production and co-operate in marketing of agricultural products.

The project areas are Dharmapasha, Tahirpur, Bishwambharpur and Jamalganj upazilas of Sunamganj district and Barhatta upazila of Netrokona. The project will be completed by June 2025. It will cost three thousand 490 crore. The whole project will be implemented in the domestic sense.
