Husband killed for adultery: Life of wife and lover

A court has sentenced his wife Asiya Khatun and Ashiya’s boyfriend Ramzar Ali to life imprisonment for killing a man named Abu Bakkar Mandal in Ullapara, Sirajganj. At the same time, each of them has been fined Rs 20,000.

According to the details of the case, he fell in love with Asiya Khatun, wife of Abu Bakkar Mandal of Koaliber village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj, and Ramzar Ali of Lahiri Mohanpur area. At one point, Asiya Khatun decided to leave her husband and marry Ramzan Ali. But husband Abu Bakkar stood in the way of marriage. Later, both Asiya Khatun and her boyfriend plotted to assassinate Abu Bakr.

According to the plan, on the evening of June 1, 2016, Asiya sent Abu Bakkar out of the house. At that time, Ashiya’s boyfriend Ramzan hacked her to death with a sharp weapon. Later, Abu Hanif, brother of the deceased, filed a murder case with Ullapara Model Police Station. The court handed down the verdict after a long hearing and testimony.

PP Advocate Abdur Rahman conducted the case on behalf of the state. Advocate SM Delwar Hossain and Advocate Barat Ali represented the accused.
