As a result, those pitches are traveling about 14,000 miles (about 22,530 km) to be part of the World Cup. From Adelaide by ship to Florida, then by road to New York.
This is the first time that a major ICC tournament is going to be held in the United States. Apart from this stadium in New York, there will be two venues in Texas and Florida for the matches of the United States part of the World Cup. There will be 16 matches in all. And 39 matches will be in West Indies.

The World Cup will begin with the match between the United States and Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on June 1. The first match in New York is on June 3, between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Bangladesh will play against South Africa on June 10 in this field.
