The five-day rehab fair is starting

A five-day rehab-fair is being held at the Bangabandhu Conference Center in the capital. The fair starts today, Thursday (December 23). Where traders have promised to sell flats and plots at affordable prices.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will inaugurate the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) Housing Fair ‘REHAB Fair’. REHAB President Alamgir Shamsul Alamin (Kajal) said this.
Earlier, this was announced at a press conference on the occasion of Rehab Fair-2021 at a hotel in the capital on Sunday (December 19).

It was informed at the press conference that about Tk 20,000 crore has been invested in the housing sector during the Corona period. Rehab, an association of real estate owners, said most of their ready-made flats had already been sold. Meanwhile, they said that the price of flats will increase soon due to the implementation of DAB and increase in prices of construction materials.
Ordinary people are in income crisis due to Corona epidemic. Besamal different industrial sectors. However, the wind is blowing in the country’s housing sector.

Traders say the government has given them the opportunity to invest in buying flats and plots with undisclosed funds in the budget to stop money laundering in Begumpara, Malaysia or Canada. As a result, Deda’s investment in the housing sector in Corona has gone black. The location is such that it is currently difficult to find unsold ready flats.

Engineer Sohail Rana, vice-president of REHAB, said the investment was around Tk 20,000 crore. Although we did not get everything, we got the lion’s share of the investment.

However, traders are worried about the progress of the sector. The prices of various materials including cement and rods have already gone up in the market. The construction cost has increased by 15 percent. Besides, initiatives have been taken to implement ‘Detailed Area Plan-DAP’ in Dhaka metropolitan area. This will reduce the number of flats in each building.

Kamal Mahmud, the first vice-president of REHAB, said that the rod that he used to buy for Rs 52,000 now has to be bought for Rs 72,000. If DAP is implemented again, we will get 6-7 flats in that building. Get a flat there. But my cost will be the same. So there will be no way but to increase the price of flats.
