Ticker certificate will have to go to Shaheed Minar on 21st February

Those who visit the central Shaheed Minar on the upcoming Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day will have to carry a compulsory Corona Vaccine Certificate as the transmission of Kovid-19 continues to increase. And you have to wear a mask. On the occasion of Amar Ekushey celebration on Sunday (January 23) in the virtual classroom of Prof. Abdul Matin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Md. These decisions were taken in a meeting chaired by Akhtaruzzaman.

It was decided at the meeting that while maintaining social distance and following proper hygiene rules, a maximum of 5 delegates from each organization / institution and maximum 2 persons at individual level can lay wreaths at the Shaheed Minar.

Vice-Chancellor Professor at the meeting. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said that the great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day will be observed with due dignity and solemnity in a limited range by following proper hygiene rules and maintaining social distance considering the situation arising out of Kovid-19.

He further said that in the changed situation, like last year, this year too, there is a need to create awareness about avoiding public gatherings. The Vice-Chancellor also sought the sincere cooperation of all concerned for the smooth, smooth and successful implementation of all the programs undertaken on the occasion of Amar Ekushey in the interest of maintaining the reputation of Dhaka University.

In the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and the President of the Dhaka University Teachers’ Association, Prof. Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah coordinator, vice-president of the association, Professor. Sabita Rizwana Rahman and General Secretary Prof. Md. Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan Joint-Coordinator and Proctor Professor. The Central Coordinating Committee for Amar Ekushey Celebrations was formed with AKM Golam Rabbani as Member-Secretary.

In addition to the Central Coordinating Committee, various sub-committees were formed to celebrate the great immortal Ekushey in a fair and peaceful manner.

University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof. ASM Maksud Kamal, Treasurer Prof. Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, Senate-Syndicate Member, Registrar, President and General Secretary of Dhaka University Teachers Association, Deans of different faculties, Provosts of different halls, Chairmen of different departments, Directors of different institutes, Proctors, representatives of concerned Ministries. The head of the office and the representatives of the officers and employees associations were attached.
