When will Bangladesh play in the World Cup?

The Under-19 Cricket World Cup is coming up in the West Indies today. The final of this tournament will be held on 5th February with the participation of 16 teams.

The current champion of the event Bangladesh is in ‘A’ group. Four groups have been formed in four groups. Group B includes Uganda, India, South Africa and Ireland. Uganda is taking part in the competition for the first time.

Group C includes Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Papua New Guinea. Group D includes the West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka and Scotland. New Zealand is not playing in this tournament. They have withdrawn from the competition due to quarantine rules.

The event will be held in ten venues in four countries of the West Indies. Antigua and Bermuda, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago are responsible for hosting the matches. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will play in the quarter finals. A total of 48 matches will be held in this event including the final.

Bangladesh are the defending champions of the Under-19 ODI World Cup. Last year, the young Tigers won the title by defeating the superpower India in South Africa. In this way Akbar Ali led Bangladesh. This time the red-green armband is on the shoulder of Rakibul Hasan.

Pakistan is the only country to have won the World Cup twice in a row in 2004 and 2006. The current champion Bangladesh has a handful of record touches.

A 155-run win over Zimbabwe in the warm-up match before the event will give the Rakibuls extra confidence. The first match is against England on 16 January in St. Kitts. What is the plan of the youth this time.

Under-19 team captain Rakibul Hasan said, “We are a good team like last time.” This time there are many all-rounders in the team which was lacking last time. We did well. This time the team is balanced. We are planning to play in the semifinals first. In addition, we have small goals, such as the group stage one by one to proceed.

There are many differences between the conditions of South Africa and the West Indies. However, the Rakibuls are not thinking about this. The Caribbean conditions are also very familiar to the Rakibuls. Besides, his goal is to play according to the plan to be stress free. The captain said, there is always pressure. Thinking about all this will increase the pressure. Right now I’m thinking about the first match.
